36. Yâsîn Sûresi - 18. ayet

(O şehirliler:) “Doğrusu biz, sizin yüzünüzden uğursuzluğa uğradık (kıtlık geldi). Eğer (bu davetten) vazgeçmezseniz, mutlaka sizi taşlayarak öldürürüz (recmederiz) ve (böylelikle) bizden size acıklı bir azap dokunur.” dediler.

The people replied, “We definitely see you as a bad omen for us. If you do not desist, we will certainly stone you ˹to death˺ and you will be touched with a painful punishment from us.”

قَالُٓوا اِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْۚ لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ اَلٖيمٌ
