58. Mücâdele Sûresi - 4. ayet

Kim de (bu imkânı) bulamazsa, (yine onun için) birbirleriyle ilişkide bulunmadan önce iki ay peş peşe oruç tutmak (lazım)dır. Buna da güç yetiremezse, (yine önce) altmış yoksulu doyurmak (lazım)dır. Bu (kefâretteki kolaylıklar) Allah’a ve Resûlü’ne iman(da gereğini yapmaya sebat) gösterdiğiniz içindir. Bunlar Allah’ın (koyduğu) sınırlardır. (Bunları kabul etmeyen) kâfirler için acıklı bir azap vardır.

But if the husband cannot afford this, let him then fast two consecutive months before the couple touch each other. But if he is unable ˹to fast˺, then let him feed sixty poor people. This is to re-affirm your faith in Allah and His Messenger. These are the limits set by Allah. And the disbelievers will suffer a painful punishment.
